Was definitely skeptical at first, but joint pain was crippling me. After one use the initial chill was amazing (use sparingly)! The intense heat it packs after only a few minutes of application really makes a WORLD of difference in how my knees and elbows feel.
The scent is pleasing and really helps to clear a stuffy nose or sooth a bothersome cough, which is an added bonus. I have used it on my partner when we ran out of vapo-rub and he was amazed at how well it let him breathe that night and get a good nights sleep!
If you want a great natural alternative to vapo-rubs and chemical-laden pain cremes & gels, THIS is the ONLY gel you'll ever need!!!
I HIGHLY recommend buying it from here versus going to a health-care professional and paying the markup. The savings is incredible. I got three 8 oz jars for the price of what ONE cost me at my health-care professional's office!
WASH HANDS WELL AFTER ANY APPLICATION! A simple rinse under the faucet won't cut it, rub those hands together with some soap and dry well to avoid touching your eyes or other "parts" with any of this stuff still lingering on your fingers. I was first given Sombra by my dojo Master in answer to a strained groin muscle during class. I put it on, but I really didn't anticipate that I'd be feeling up to doing any kicks properly for quite sometime. But within just a few minutes, the pain was lessened drastically and movement was not a problem. I immediately went in search of my own jar at pharmacies, health food stores, whereever I could think of [except the internet DOH!]. Never found it in a retail setting and on a lark ran a search. Lo and behold its available through Amazon! I've just about used up my 8 0z jar but it lasted several years because you do want to use this product fairly sparingly. At first its COLD but very quickly it gets HOTTTT and it seems to me the level of heat is in direct proportion to the amount I've rubbed into the affected area.
If you don't use it often, you'll want to stir it before the next use or you'll likely be disappointed in the results. I found after it had sat for long periods the oils settled to the bottom leaving a useless cream on top. DO WASH HANDS thoroughly with SOAP after use or you will transfer it to eyes or other areas you don't necessarily want burning the tar out of ya. 5 stars |
