My dcotor diagnosed my shoulder injury as an "abused muscle strain" and recommended a month of limited use, minimal elevation and no lifting, twisting or stretching. The McDavid brace is a snug and comfortable reminder of my limitations. It is durable and well constructed. The only thing I would like to see improved is a wider chest strap with a larger velco zone. 5 stars The following review received 1 helpful votes out of 1 total votes: Review Date: 2008-05-25 "Bulky and uncomfortable" I purchased this shoulder support after I strained my shoulder playing sports. I was hoping it would help limit my shoulder movement and allow my shoulder to heal. However, because the support is so bulky, it would not allow my arm to hang flush to my body. This actually caused my shoulder to ache continuously, which was extremely uncomfortable and defeated the purpose of wearing the support. It arrived from the company one size too big, packaged with the smaller printed size. Review Date: 2008-11-18 "well made product" This is good product for protection. But it doues ride up on the neck and irritate the scin. We put some tape on it and that helped. 4 stars Review Date: 2008-11-28 "Sweet!" I injured my shoulder in high school playing football, and now that i play rugby in college, this product really helps keep my shoulder where it belongs. its bulky, but i like it! i also like the strap pretty tight around my chest, which constricts breathing a bit, but rather safe than sorry. 5 stars | |
