"Water Shoes - Just for Starters."

I bought these because they were on sale when I was shopping for running shoes. I just got back from a cruise and must report how much I now love them. First, they feel great. I have always sought very flexible footwear (in my youth, I spent 8 years running cross country - barefoot). My favorite big name shoe is Nike Free at $90. These OP Zuma's have much the same feel and with an added insole can be used for running. They are actually more sturdy than my Nike Frees which tore at the heal due to very light weight construction.

No laces to tie yet still snug. They pack much lighter than sneakers too. The best part is that you don't have to use these just for water shoes. I wore them all day with socks (optional, of course) and it was great! The mesh means no more sweaty feet, even in hot climates. They give a great feel for the surface you're walking on, akin to a sports car's feel for the road. Big, over stuffed or rigid footwear insulates us too much from the environment. This leads to people clomping around as if their feet were numb and can even increase shock to the knees and hips. With these little Zumas you will be as sure and nimble as a native American in moccasins. But the Zumas will last longer.

Boy do they hold the deck. We had a day of storms with rocking and rolling on the cruise. Near the pool, people in flip flops or bare feet were sliding all over but I could not get these babies to budge even trying to slide through puddels with the deck at various angles. I felt as if I could walk up walls!

I never did try them for wadeing in deeper water though. I plan to keep them for dry land till I get another pair. I can drive, run errands, mall walk etc. And with a little bit of black magic marker, I blacked out the insignia (sorry OP) and actually wore these to formal dinner with a suit on the cruise! Black socks disguise the mesh. Their black rubber soles and fabric did the rest. So no formal shoes to pack either. The lighter the load the farther you'll go. It may be naughty, but what else are vacations for.

Try this fun, versatile product.

"Water Shoes"

Overall, they are good water shoes. Size fits better than other brands. My only complaint is the shoe liner slips out when you remove the shoes. I would still recommend these over other higher priced shoes. I bought two pair for less than what I paid for another higher priced teva brand. The Teva brand fits snug for the size. I wear a 13 and gave my Teva's to someone that wears an 11 and they fit them. 4 stars

"Good quality for the price."

Would be perfect if it was available in half sizes. I wear 11 1/2 and originally ordered an 11 thinking a snug fit would be better. The 11 was much too tight. I reordered a size 12. It's very comfortable but could be a bit more snug. An 11.5 would be great. So take your chances and order up if you're a "true" half size. 4 stars
