I teach PE and have tried for the last 8 years to get a pink whistle with no success. I finally decided to google it and now i have my pink whistle! I love it! 5 stars

I purchased 8 of the Fox 40 pink whistles for myself, my daughter, my daughter-in-laws and my granddaughters to wear or put on their key ring.
I thought that in case of an emergency, this whistle might save their lives. However, I opened one just after Christmas and blew on the whistle and I doubt if the whistle could be heard in the next room must less up to a mile away. It's too late to get my money back because I waited until after Christmas was over to try this product out but I will never purchase more than one of any item until I check it out first. This is the first review that I have ever written but I have never been so disapointed in any product as I have this one. 1 star

This product is great. The whistle is very loud. I feel much safer with this whistle on my key ring. 5 stars

I don't understand why people think this is a bad whistle. Please note that this whistle is PEALESS, which means there is not a little ball inside to make the sound. I think Fox40 calls it pealess technology or something like that. The reason it is pealess is because the pea inside could potentially rot, come out of the whistle, get stuck, etc. We use these for our lifeguards because it is very loud (when used right) and it is pealess so there is nothing to clog or rot when it gets in the water. The trick to a loud and clear sound is to tap your tougue to the bottom half of the whistle when you blow. It is NOT rocket science, I promise. It takes maybe 2 or 3 tries but after that, you will be heard loud and clear. I would recommend this to anyone. 5 stars

These are the best whistles I've ever found.

They are made of sturdy plastic and I've never had one break (although I've chewed through a couple of them over the course of several years). With no moving parts, they work correctly every time. They're loud enough to be heard clearly over a pool of screaming kids. They even float if you tend to drop them, like I do.

The different colors, although not affecting the performance, are fun. I bought my little sister a pink one and she loves it.

As I said, I've never found a better whistle. All lifeguards should have these. 5 stars
