It seems we get more ice with or without snow in the north east every year. I bought these for my husband who provides snow removal service and he loves them. YakTrax provide the extra grip needed on ice and icy snow. He stated, "I spend less time worrying about slipping on the ice and more time on getting the job done." I would recommend these for anyone who works or ventures out in icy conditions. They are easy to put on your shoes and easy off. They are perfect for walking on snow or ice and significantly reduce my chances of falling. I have recommended these to all of my walker friends. 5 stars Review Date: 2008-01-12 "Positraction" Positraction means that both traction devices work together as in the differential of some automobiles. Yaktrax give the wearer just that capability on ice, snow and other winter conditions bothering walking. I keep a supply in my apartment in the retirement village where I live just so other rewsidents may buy them at their need. 5 stars Review Date: 2008-02-25 "YakTrax Walker" The merchant involved was great. The product is not very robust. They have been worn approximately twelve times (asphalt roadway with ice and snow) and the rubber connecting straps are worn through already.
