I bought a pair of yaktrax pro 3 years ago and use them whenever there is ice and/or snow on the trails on which I run. They have been great! They are easy to slip on over my running shoes, they stay on, and I'm barely aware of them when I run, other than that I no longer slip and slide on ice and snow. The original pair that I bought 3 years ago finally broke in one spot last week so I need to replace them. Even the break was not a big deal. One of the pieces of rubber on the bottom tore. I went ahead and ran on it anyway and it still did OK. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants to stay active year around in a snowy/icy climate. 5 stars The following review received 2 helpful votes out of 2 total votes: Review Date: 2008-02-08 "Really Helps" Every day I walk for an hour or two in the woods along uneven mountain bike/hiking trails. Wouldn't want to be without them. These things really work in the snow and ice. Also help tons on my black top drive when it's icy. Lots of snow & ice this winter. I've used them almost daily for two months. No sign of wear. They are slippery on hard slick indoor surfaces. Instructions say not to, but if your careful you can walk a few feet on tile. 5 stars The following review received 1 helpful votes out of 1 total votes: Review Date: 2008-02-10 "yaktrax pro worth every penny!" I regularly walk my dog in the woods on snowmobile trails that can get hard packed and icy. With my new Yaktrax I feel sure footed and much safer! 5 stars The following review received 1 helpful votes out of 1 total votes: Review Date: 2008-02-24 "yaktrax Pro" Yaktrax Pro work better on ice, and snow covered ice, than anything else I have tried. They don't slip on snow covered ice like spikes do. They are easy to put on and take off. They stay securely in place while in use. | |
