I returned these boots, because although they are really tough, really warm, really comfy, and fit my *feet* really well, there were 2 problems that were deal breakers for me: The following review received 2 helpful votes out of 2 total votes: Review Date: 2008-02-23 "Really beats the cold." I purchased this boots for outdoor work. I work in a scrap metal yard . Regular steeltoe boots doesn't keep your feet warm when exposed to a normal shift.I live in Chicago and temperatures decreased in last weeks to 20 degrees below. I finished the shifts without sore toes because cold. The problem I see with this boots was the top of them doesn't go under the pants. But I like how they look. They feel kind of big. But they are not heavy. I recomend this boots for those individuals who works in extreme weather conditions. 4 stars The following review received 1 helpful votes out of 1 total votes: Review Date: 2008-02-16 "Very Good Boots But Could Be Better" So warm, so comfortable, so durable... These boots blow my 18 year old Sorel Dominators out of the water. They are nice and tall, so the one problem that I have with them is rarely an issue. That being said, as another reviewer mentioned, the cinch string is pretty much worthless. The top of the boot is rigid and simply impossible to cinch to create a snow-proof barrier. Had Kamik extended the nylon just 1/2 to 1" over the top of the liner, these boots would have easily earned a 5 star rating. That being said, except when I'm walking my dog through our yard after a couple consecutive heavy snowfalls, because of their height, snow really doesn't get in them. Even on the rare occasions that some snow has managed to get it, the boots are so warm that you can't even tell. The only reason that I know is that my pant legs end up being damp when I take the boots off. Again, this doesn't happen often, but I really do wish that Kamik had made the cinch string actually functional. I would buy these boots again though, without compunction. 4 stars Review Date: 2008-06-23 "Comfortable, lightweight, warm" My husband really liked these boots. He works outside all winter and I didn't hear him complain about his feet being cold. He said they were fairly light so he didn't have to labor to move around. Overall, a good quality, warm boot. 5 stars | |
