Got a couple of these for the kids for Christmas... liked them so well that we ordered more for my husband and I. These bottles do NOT leak and it's really nice to be able to close the lid to protect the spout. There is a spring built into the spout that keeps it shut when not in use... you do need to apply a little pressure against the spout to drink. Water tastes crisp and fresh from these.

We ordered the bottle bandits (clips that attach around the neck of the bottle) to make them easier to cart around -- just loop a finger through the clip and go :) 5 stars

Yes, it's better than plastic, since you should be concerned about drinking from plastic bottles because of the estrogen-like compounds which may dissolve into your water. But there are some downsides to this bottle. First, you will probably need to buy a new cage in order to snugly hold the bottle when you are bike riding. This is especially true if you mountain bike. Second, the bottle is fragile, counter to its implication as a rugged outdoor item. It dents very easily. Do not put it into a metal cage, as that will leave small dings and dents. I dropped mine three feet on wooden stairs, and it now has a dent about 12 cm long, 2 cm wide, and 5 mm deep. One might think that metal could withstand wood, but in order to make this light enough for sporting purposes, the bottle's walls are very thin. After paying over $20 for one bottle, I expect a little more sturdiness from an outdoor water bottle. 3 stars

This is an upscale designer sport water bottle, top of the line, and so much fun. The designs of all of Sigg's water bottles are gorgeous, from the plain, solid color bottles, to the ones with intricate designs.

I switched from regular plastic water bottles because of health concerns, thinking it would take more work to maintain. These do necessitate regular cleaning (I clean mine every day), but having something so beautiful to drink from makes the cleaning less of a chore.

Sigg of Switzerland water bottles are very high quality, made of light aluminum on the outside, slightly insulated, and covered with a special powder coat on the inside that prevents any leaching whatsoever, unlike plastic and polycarbonate water bottles. They are light, durable, and perfect for any activity. They do dent, but this only affects the outside, and I am told that for Sigg fans the light denting is more like a "seasoning" of the bottle (this is how I regard it); at any rate, my dents so far don't affect the inside of the bottle at all---they are just on the outside.

Sigg bottles come with several different types of tops. Although this sport bottle comes with a sports top, I didn't like it, so I bought the screw top. I don't like sports tops in general because you leave them on while you drink from them, and this one was no exception. All of the Sigg tops are interchangeable and if you don't like your top or if you want variety you can buy extra/alternate tops (from Amazon). The bottles are totally leak-proof with the screw top as well, which is important to me.

They are also expensive, but they are so durable that you can plan on them lasting many years. I consider them both an accessory and an investment in my health, so they are well worth it value-wise for me.

These are the best bottles. They truly make the water taste better. I bought two and a "kid" version for my grandson (he is 2 and loves it). I bought the sport version for myself and ended up buying an original top for it, (not that I didn't like the sport top, but wanted both options.)
Will probably buy more for kids or friends. 5 stars
