"Inexpensive rower for light workout"

Rowing is a great excercise to tone and get fit. I got this thinking it could work for a light workout. I was right. The resistance is light so you can move easily. My daughter used it without any problem. This would be a great starter exerciser for someone who has not done sit ups for a while or someone with a bad back too. I'd give it 5 stars if it had a way of increasing the resistance other than twisting the handle bar which only seems to shorten it. 4 stars

"Very handy product"

The Everlast for Her Pilates Rowing Action Exerciser has been a very productive purchase, for me. Movements are fluid and easy, while the muscle tone developped is very satisfying. My only issue was that the foam bit near the handle ripped and fell off, but it was a non-critical/essential piece of the product. I would purchase it again, but I have a feeling it will last a long time before the need arises. 4 stars

"No resistance at all!"

so i bought this thinking it would be a great alternative to those expensive rowing machines plus i can do it at home. It would help me out with abs and back and i could create new exercises with it. the instruction paper was just that a piece of paper with pictures of different positions you can take. not really any interesting positions.

heres the part that i hate. im 5ft2, 5ft3 on good days. with my feet in the stirrups the handle bars are already up to my stomach. when i try and do the rowing action im not getting any resistance at all. i tried twisting the handle like one reviewer did and still get the same results. so i tried the different positions that came on the piece of paper. same thing. i feel like this thing should be either twice as short or twice as resistant.

either way i had a better work out doing bicycle kicks, flutter kicks and holding my feet about an inch above the ground for 30 seconds. im sure someone who is taller than me, or at least have longer legs would get a better work out.

i was thinking of somehow lodging the stirrups somewhere so i can get that resistance but that would be dangerous and would miss the point.

so if your shorty like me, i wouldnt get this, its too long and his litte resistance! 1 star

"Helpful"

This is really helpful for someone who hates doing situps. I felt my muscles tighten the first few times I used it. Would probably work if I used it more often. 4 stars

"Great!"

The only reason this got 4 stars is because with some of the exercises, I don't feel as much resistance as I'd like. But, overall, this is a great exercise tool and I love using it. Also, you can have a great time making up your own resistance training exercises--the possibilities are endless. Have fun! 4 stars
