The hair on the fly whisk is nice and thick, the handle is a sturdy bamboo. However, the wrist strap is very flimsy and the tape that holds the hair to the bamboo unraveled the first time I used it. I had bought 2 planning on giving 1 as a gift. But the quality is not good enough for that. If it makes it through the summer, I will be amazed. 2 stars

I can't tell you how it performs as an actual fly whisk...I ordered it for an altar that I have to the African Goddess Oya. She seems to be quite pleased with it as it is one of Her symbols. 5 stars

The originally shipped items were somewhat "skimpy" and the horsehair was loose and falling out but after contacting the seller and explaining the problem, I was promptly shipped replacement items which were of the expected quality. I would therefore give this seller a high satisfaction rating with regard to this purchase. 4 stars
