For the serious hydrator! I need to drink a lot of water throughout the day and carrying this bottle with me encourages me to drink and is great for my health and values. Plastic bottles are both unsustainable and can leach toxic chemicals into your water. Millions per year are never recycled (I've seen photos kids playing in a water bottle dump in Indonesia). This non-leaching bottle is attractive, sturdy and the mouth is comfortable to sip AND glug from. I fill it up from our high quality tap water and keep it around the house-- no more water glasses abandoned everywhere! I also feel great knowing I haven't put a dime of my money into supporting the public thievery that is the bottled water industry since I bought this bottle. I hope Sigg starts making these great large size 1.5 liter bottles again, I feel like stockpiling them for my family! 5 stars The following review received 2 helpful votes out of 2 total votes: Review Date: 2007-09-11 "Ditto to the rave reviews BUT..." ...be forewarned if you drop your water bottle a lot (like me), it won't stay pretty for long. After just 1 month of owning my Sigg bottle, it was so dented up it looked like it had survived a war. The dents have caused paint to chip in some areas, and some sharp metal edges to protrude toward the base. Other downsides (in comparison to Nalgene) are the small cap loop for carrying, and the small mouth. But, the health/environmental pros probably outweigh these cons! 3 stars The following review received 1 helpful votes out of 1 total votes: Review Date: 2007-08-26 "Better and healthier than plastic" Very sturdy and keeps fluids at the desired temperature for a good amount of time. I will buy two more as gifts for friends. 5 stars | |
