These are probably one of my favorite articles of clothing. I am a frequent (normally 5+ times a week) endurance runner, and I have found these to be a great addition to my gym bag. Whenever it's too chilly to wear shorts, I'll pull on my Underarmour coldgear leggings and throw my shorts on top of them. Thay keep my legs nice and warm without overheating them. I have a valet job and work outside all winter, I wear these things every day under a pair of thin Dockers and they are fantastic. I'm a bigger guy, and the compression gear tops don't work well with my big gut, these are just right for my lower body type. If you're a size 38-40 waist like me, go with the XXL, it's just the right size. Combined with the Under Armour Driver Mock (actually a golf item) my base layer is perfect, I never get cold. I recently wore the same combination skiing, and the leggings were perfect under my snow pants. Just pull them up to the top of the sock with a little overlap and no moisture accumulates against your body whatsoever, a very important element of staying warm and safe when it's cold out. All of Under Armour's products I have tried do a great job of this moisture transportation away from your skin and I'll never wear cotton or other long underwear again. Do yourself a favor and try these out, they are the new gold standard in my book. 5 stars The following review received 14 helpful votes out of 28 total votes: Review Date: 2007-10-25 "Good product, yet way over-priced" I bought a pair of these and thought they would work out fine. Luckily I happened to be looking for some other running clothes and found something else for literally half the price made out of the exact same material. So I quickly returned them. Under Armour is to training clothes what the ipod is to the mp3 world. You are paying for a name, nothing more. You can walk into any sports store and get something that's the same material and quality for half the price (or at least 15-20 $ cheaper.) There is no need to waste money on these, unless you are one of those people who are exercising to look cool and hip with your over-priced clothing, then continue to buy these. 2 stars The following review received 10 helpful votes out of 11 total votes: Review Date: 2006-01-31 "Review of the under armour leggings" I purchased the under armour leggings for my husband. He works outdoors. He found the leggings to be very beneficial. He has been wearing them on a regular basis and is very satisfied with the warmth and comfort they provide. 5 stars The following review received 4 helpful votes out of 4 total votes: Review Date: 2007-02-10 "When the cold winds howl and so do you . . ." I hate the cold. I mean I really HATE it, after getting frost bite on my nose and ears. However, I try not to let it slow me down. I run except in the coldest weather (like now its almost 0F with the wind chill). | |
