I play competitive softball. I needed a new cleat, and wanted something with excellent traction on wet/dry dirt/grass.

I found in this a very supportive shoe. Great traction, great support.

I also found how badly my other shoes supported me. Usually the day after softball was designated a recovery day because my ankles and lower back were so sore. Wearing these, I have no discomfort the next day.

One concern I had that came out ok: The weight of this shoe is 13 ounces... about two ounces heavier than my old shoe. But, I got used to wearing them (picking them up and putting them down) and there is no noticable difference in my speed base running or in outfield pursuits.

And, if you run in Mizuno shoes, you will find these as comfortable as those, just with cleat-like traction. 5 stars

Purchased Mizuno Mens Wave Speed Trainers for my son for his indoor baseball practices. He loves them. They are comfortable and give him great traction. We recommend them very highly. 5 stars

Mizuno shoes are the BEST! I used to wear Nike and had nothing but pain and other feet problems. I switched to Mizuno about 4 years ago and have never looked back. These shoes are great. I do recomend going up 1/2 a size of what you normally wear. I wear a size 12 but with most Mizuno shoes I have bought a 12.5. You can't go wrong with these shoes. So stop reading my review and get to ordering yourself a pair of these shoes! 5 stars

I ordered my mizunos and was told that it would take about 2 weeks to get them, I had them in 3-4 days. I bought them to match my son's baseball team, the Covington Cardinals, and they were a perfect match. Thanks Amazon. 5 stars
