Despite having the word "scoremaster" inscribed on the front, the C.S. Peterson scorebook is little better than a blank sheet of paper, especially for a National League game or for the manager of a team. Everything about this scorebook, aside from its room for 12 innings (its sole attribute) has been done far better in comparable editions. It has only room for 22 players, and only one substitution spot under each player. It is entirely not uncommon to see 3 players bat in the same lineup spot, and this soon becomes a headache for the player. Moreover, there is not but room for 3 pitching slots per team- it is not the 1950's anymore, 1 starter and 3 releivers is almost the norm in Major League Baseball today, and for a softball game in the park even more so. I have tried others over the years and this is the best. Sure if your in a league that has more than 9 batters ( not true baseball) or leagues that ar emore flexible than this is not the book for you, however this book if completed properly can give you an exact recount of the game as it unfolds. It does also have 12 inning, while most other books offer only 10 or 9 innings. This can tend to be a problem if you bat around the order more than 1 time. You would then have to go to a different page and that is a huge pain. This is the best scorecard book we have found to use for baseball games and is the ONLY one my husband will use. Our original local supplier went out of business and we were thrilled that we found the same product, for a reasonable price, here on Amazon. If you have a basball fanatic in your household, as I do, this is a great way to allow them to keep stats & info on multiple games in a single scorebook. I highly recommend this scorecard book for the baseball fan in your life! 5 stars | |
