The only good thing this cone trap has that the others don't is the cap at the top, preventing pieces of lead debris popping out. This trap is made with thin metal. Though the description stated it can handle .177 to .25 up to 1000 fps at 50 ft. Most of us use cone traps for indoors. if you have an indoor 50' range, great. Mine is only 25'. Unlike the Gamo or chinese cone trap, this one has no support at the bottom of the trap. Therefore while using my Crosman 2240 .22 co2 pistol (about 550 fps,) the defleted pellets inside the trap bent the bottom of the trap that supposed to store the shot pellets. I had a mess of lead dust and fragments. After a few hundred more shots, the deflector at the end of the cone bent out of shape. It does take the standard 5.5x5.5 gamo target though it says the dimension is 5x5. mgso 1 star | |
