Indeed, the user's manual that came with my pistol, which I bought from Sportsman's Guide, calls it a "Beeman 2004" model...
Go figure.
Anyway, this pistol has some quirks that may not make it suitable for overly picky people. But if you want a nice, hard-hitting little air pistol at a bargain basement price you'd be hard pressed to top it. [Beeman's P3, of which this is a knockoff hecho'ed in China, is 190 frauds as I write this!]
The "heft" is excellent and the pistol packs a wallop - especially considering the small effort you expend with each shot.
I got the version with the red dot sight. It sighted in easily and holds true. BUT, since you cannot remove the red dot sight's battery without taking it off the pistol you would be well-advised to place a small rubber band around the rear iron sight and then put the free end on the red dot's switch whenever you pack the pistol away. My experience is that you need to re-sight the red dot every time you change the battery so battery conservation is of paramount importance.
Happy stinging; you will probably like this handy little piece [unless you are a dilettante]. 5 stars |
