The material feels a little lighter in weight than some of the older JanSport daypacks, but stands up to fairly demanding use well. It has more interior pockets than some of the older rucks, and I'm not convinced of the value of the two dozen little pockets, but they don't interfere with the way I use it, so they haven't made the 'So what' scale for either pro or con. The lanyard with a clip for a keyring is much more useful than I previously realized, so I'll give the other bells and whistles a chance. He's very pleased and I'm sure it is sturdy enough to serve him in college. I was afraid it would be too big, but the size is fine. 5 stars Review Date: 2008-06-16 "Great Day Pack" This pack has all the bells & whistles you'll need for a long day on the trail. Plenty of pockets, pouches, compartments, etc. High quality construction should guarantee years of heavy use. 5 stars | |
