This pump works well, does its job but overall it looks a bit cheap in construction and it has a tendency to leak air on the back so you have to pull the ball quickly or risk deflating it, but for six bucks is a bargain 4 stars The following review received 3 helpful votes out of 3 total votes: Review Date: 2008-03-21 "Not too bad and not the greatest." A little hard to use and only comes with one needle. Not real kid friendly. Great ball pump for the price" This inexpensive ball pump works very well. We have gone through several more expensive pumps that have additional capabilities but tend to leak air somewhere along the pump or are very hard for our kids to operate. This Spalding ball pump is easy to handle and pumps well without leaking air. There is no flexible tube -- the needle is screwed into the pump itself. This allows you to grasp the pump and stabilize the pump and ball without the ball rolling around. It is still very new, so I don't know how long it will last, but can't beat the price. 5 stars Review Date: 2008-06-26 "Not so easy to pump balls with" I spent a minute trying to pump my basketball with this pump. I bounced my basketball and it was still a bit flat. Then, I realized my automatic pump might be able to pump balls too, so I inserted the needle with the electric pump, and within 5 seconds of pumping, the ball bounced like new. I'd recommend a multi purpose electric pump if possible. | |
