It is an excellent bag, very well built and withstood the entire trip, going through at least 4 baggage handling changes at various airports. The bottom compartment held not only large men's hiking boots but full linens for his bed and rain gear, etc. We filled the top half, nearly to capacity by enclosing items in zip lock freezer bags and still did not go over the airline's weight limit and size limit. (Southwest Airlines) It was easy to roll through the airports and has a very stable bottom frame, which had been a problem with other duffles that we had purchased. The bag still looks as good as new. After success with it, we didn't hestitate to purchase the smaller on board tote, which my son used for another cross country trip this past January. I'm an experienced traveler and this is some of the best luggage that I have ever come across. One warning, however, make sure that the bag will fit into the trunk of your car or rental car transportation, it is very long. 5 stars The following review received 4 helpful votes out of 4 total votes: Review Date: 2008-02-08 "Fantastic bag" Fantastic bag, held everything I take on a weekend camping trip.
