Bought a pair of the oyster ones that were on sale, size 8.5. I own 2 other pairs of rockports (1 slip-on & 1 oxford) and am a snug 8.5wide for those, but the 8.5 regular here felt much looser than either, more like a 9. 4 stars

Okay, I don't usually buy shoes online/mail order because shoes seem to vary is size from brand to brand, but....

I had been looking for a pair of slip on semi-dress shoes for a couple of weeks, but I had two qualifications that had to be met: They had to not be expensive, and they had to be somewhat plain looking. When I saw these Rockports at the clearance price, I knew that I had to jump on them.

I'm not a huge fan of the squarish toe design, but they are growing on me. I have them in size 11.5 and they look a big like clown shoes, but that's the fault of my large feet, not the shoes. :) The color selection left at the cheap prices was odd, but the Tan isn't too bad. I have a feeling that it will look a little nicer once they fade some.

They are comfortable, not requiring much break-in and I expected that, since they are Rockports.

Summary, good shoe, great price, somewhat funky color.
