"Be careful BEFORE you buy these?!"

I'm the one that always buys my husbands socks. I've never bought socks off the internet but since I was buying shirts at the time I threw a couple packs of these socks in the order.

Not long after my husband had been wearing these he starting itching the lower part of his legs all the time. We could NOT figure out what was going on? Then he started getting real DRY flaky skin with this RED rash looking crap on the lower part of his legs ONLY. Its right above the his ankles where the tops of the socks sit. We didn't realize it was the NEW SOCKS causing this for about 2 months. Then it dawned on me this happened the MINUTE he started wearing the new socks I bought him. So I checked the bag the socks came in to see what the socks are made of thinking he is allergic to something in them. It said "Cotton, polyester, natural latex rubber and other fibers.

HELLO people...what the heck is RUBBER doing in socks! Since when...how cheap can we go?! Then what's with "Other fibers". What OTHER fibers...can they be alittle more specfic!? I've bought his socks for the last 27 years and I've never seen RUBBER and OTHER fibers in the material. Is that crap they swept up off the floor or what. Its usually cotton and polyester..normal things.

So just be WARNED...you might break out after wearing these socks. I'll never buy socks again WITHOUT checking the label. You would of had to of seen my husbands legs to believe how BAD they got. That's nasty stuff in those socks. I would NEVER recommend these to anyone. He scratched himself silly till his legs were bleeding...thats how bad it was. He looked like he had a freaking disease on both legs. (By the way...once we trashed those socks and got him NEW ones...in about 2 weeks his legs were all healed up and back to normal.) No more problems. So be careful. Read the labels...as it might just pay off. 1 star

"Just the right size"

These are the only socks my husband will use. He wears size 12 shoes and most socks are not big enough, or poor quality. These are quality socks that are really made to fit larger feet. I hope Champion never stops making them. 5 stars

"Good solid socks"

Notwithstanding the previous review's mention of a breakout from allergies to the materials, if you are in the majority you will find them to be great socks. I'm wearing them right now, have worn them for years, and have found them to be durable and comfortable. 5 stars

"champion socks"

I was so happy to find these socks because every pair of champion socks sold around our area of southern new england was the ones with the thick cushioned sole. My son likes champion socks, but he doesn't like the cushioned soles 4 stars

"Comfortable but not sure if offbrand"

Socks feel comfortable but not as pictured. As with all new things, production costs means making cheaper to save costs. These are ok but not what I expected in replacing my older Champion socks....which are still wearable after 4 years. Rotation is everything. 4 stars
