He said it was the only aide he recommends for purchase, even though there are many, many types on the market. I can see why this is all you need to correct a misalignment of the hands in the backswing. It provides instant feedback on both your backswing and followthrough. Not only did it help me fix my slice, but I now use it before every round as part of my warm-up routine to ensure that I haven't fallen back into bad habits. 5 stars The following review received 3 helpful votes out of 3 total votes: Review Date: 2007-10-18 "The cheapest alternative to a PGA pro watching your swing" The swingyde is a plastic tool that attaches to your grip on every club in your bag. There are even configurations to help with putting and even ways to that allow you to use two at the same time for wedge shots. For $29.95, it's money well spent. I used this in my initial trials at playing and learning golf - but I found that it's good maintenance when your swing starts losing its mark. This fits easily in your bag for practice sessions. The only other useful training aid that does this is the Momentus travel iron. I used it with a six-iron and enjoyed hitting balls with it. But changing the Swingyde to another club was a bit cumbersome. I did not care to use the Swingyde with the rubberband as I found it a bit too confining and snug. My rating is due to the two negatives I have stated, eventhough I feel that it is effective and helpful in reinforcing the swing plane and encouraging a good follow-through. 3 stars The following review received 2 helpful votes out of 2 total votes: Review Date: 2008-02-05 "Best portable full swing training aid" The swingyde is a plastic tool that attaches to your grip on every club in your bag.
