I had had a computer in the past on a different bike; I don't remember the model, but I bought it at Walmart for $10 or so. I was hoping that a major bicycle accessories company would have a slightly more reliable product. Basic stuff like time, distance, odometer, and speed. Installing it is easy and quick. One problem is the magnet. The flap that holds the magnet in place is plastic and does tend to slip once in a while. So before every ride I make sure the plastic flap that holds the magnet is tight. The Velo 5 was easy to install and seems to work well. The print on the instructions is small for someone with old eyes, but that is not their fault. This is a good basic computer for an ocassional bicyclist. 4 stars The following review received 1 helpful votes out of 2 total votes: Review Date: 2006-11-04 "Nice little device" I intended to purchase a wireless model, but mistakenly bought this wired version. The wiring was really easy, and really doesn't interfere. | |
