I bought this unit because I thought it had a larger display than other units on the market and I am not disapointed. It is easy to install. However, my only complaint is the difficulty (for me, maybe not for others) is the steps required to change modes, etc.I can't remember all of the steps and have to refer to the instructions. Hard to do when riding. 4 stars The following review received 3 helpful votes out of 3 total votes: Review Date: 2007-08-15 "Love those huge displays and readout BUT" So, they lost a star: The little screw works its way loose, and the piece came crashing to the ground -- I fixed the loosening screw problem with a little athletic tape. The three pieces of info in the display are really awesome, plus the average times and whatnot are one button away while you're riding, which is very convenient. The display is huge -- I haven't seen anything like it. Plus the unit is really sort of super functional and makes the bike feel dialed. It does reset at 999, but the whole unit takes like three minutes to set up. The directions are basically without words, just pictures, so that I guess martians can understand them (but they must have college degrees). I'm really happy with it, and would buy it again, but cover that screwhead! 4 stars The following review received 1 helpful votes out of 1 total votes: Review Date: 2007-12-27 "Just what he wanted" This little wireless computer has all the bells and whistles to help my husband optimize his bike trip to and from work every day. He loves to check average speed, fuel economy, and the like on his car's computer, and now he can do it on his bike too. 5 stars Review Date: 2007-05-16 "Topeak" Not have BACKLIGHT...........is very important for me,for the rest is a good product, menu is jerky. 3 stars The following review received 0 helpful votes out of 1 total votes: Review Date: 2007-12-22 "Tie strap is worthless!!!" It might be a nice computer but the specialized tie strap that holds the magnetic pick up is unbelievably brittle. It snapped into pieces when I tried to attach it to my bike. This is a manufacturers defect. Don't waste your time buying this, you will just have to return it. 1 star | |
