This watch got scratched on the titanium metal case on the first day I wore it. Now, it has scratches all over it from just normal everyday wear. To say the least I am disappointed and perplexed at why Highgear chose to use such a metal and finish for an outdoor sports watch? Also the compass is inacurate. 2 stars

I received the Highgear Altis Ti as a Christmas gift and am pleased with it so far. The build quality is good, and I've not noticed a tendency for the titanium casing or mineral glass face to scratch. I had some concerns about the accuracy out of the box, but a unit like this requires calibration. After going through the calibration steps all functions were within reasonable accuracy limits. This watch WILL need to be calibrated regularly to maintain accuracy, but that is to be expected with an item like this. At the pre-Christmas price of $125, this watch was a steal. Even at the normal price, it's still worth it if you are looking for an outdoor watch that has enough style to wear everyday. 4 stars
