"Good watch, no lap timer"

Overall, this watch is good:
large numbers
fairly standard set of basic features (date, alarm, stop watch)
crown seems fairly resistant to scratching
Indiglo lighting is great

Contrary to the description, however, the chronograph does NOT have a lap capability; it only has a split function (2 way).

As a reminder, it does not have a countdown timer, which seems to be a common theme for many Timex watches. 4 stars

"Nice under $20 watch"

I ordered one of these for the time I spend in the gym and on the track running, also it is a good choice if you go swimming every once in a while.

Of course, for that price you are not getting a professional sports watch like the Omega's Seasmaster, but for occasional use it's just great. It has all you need - stop watch, alarm, the nice light that Timex calls Indiglo, etc. It also comes with a black plastic strap that feels good and unlike leather is really "water-friendly". Anyway, who needs a 50m water-resistant watch if the strap can "survive" nothing more than a splash of water.

As far as accuracy - so far it's OK. I had it for 4 months now and I had to adjust it only once -- it was 2 seconds behind.

It doesn't have the fancy functions that you would find in the Casio's G-Shock series, like address book that stores 50 names and numbers or a sophisticated stop-wtach that can split times or measure per lap time, nor it has an altimeter, but then again you can get it for less then $20.

Overall, I give this nice Timex 5 stars - it's a great value watch for occasional use. 5 stars

"Not bad"

I picked up this Timex watch as my Ironman was about to give out. I selected this model for the look and the price. The look of the watch is fine. The face has large numbers making it easy to read. The function buttons are different from my Ironman, and has taken a little while to get used to them, but that is to be expected.

I will have to say that the old time Ironman is still a better option for what I am looking for in a running watch. However, this model is okay. 3 stars

"too curved .. "

you get what you pay for....

the watch is simply too curved for my wrist. in profile it almost looks like a half circle. so this would be good for smaller bony-ier people.... but not a bigger 6'1 guy..

its a simple inexpensive watch for wet locations 3 stars

"Timex Sports Watch"

Perfect watch for a teenager! It is easy to see the time and set the time. I like the alarm feature on it which we can set for him to wake up to each morning. If by chance he loses it I'm not worried since it was pretty inexpensive. 5 stars
