Well, what can I say. I've been salivating at these cards for the past 2 months now. I did think they were a little expensive so I literally searched the entire [...] forums for reviews. 95% of ellusionist users seemed to hold the Black Tiger Deck in high esteem so I finally bought them.

When I opened my first pack, all my expectations were met. The Bicycle Black Tiger Deck is simply beautiful in every way. Not only does it look beautiful, it also feels great.

LOOKS: It looks great, and mysterious, which aids in making some of your strongest card effects even stronger. They even shine under black light, which regular cards don't.

QUALITY: Ellusionist's exclusive UV500 finish and card stock is the best in the playing card market, which makes the Black Tiger Deck a dream to handle. I think it must be the big amount of ink used to print these cards, that makes these cards incredibly straight. I can already tell that they are going to last way longer than my regular Bicycle Rider Backs.

If you are into magic, I definitely recommend that you get at least 1 deck of these cards. You'll love them and the looks can totally aid you in building stronger effects and getting better reactions. There's just something about these cards that scream professionalism, quality, finesse, and well...MAGIC!

When I first fanned a deck of Black Tiger cards I finally understood why Ellusionist is so proud of their custom decks. The black faces and inverted backs add a whole new "wow factor" to the spectator before you even start your magic.

One of the best parts about the deck though is the fact that the normally red cards have red pips. It makes the cards shine with a beauty that is not possible with a normal deck of cards. 3 stars

I can't even begin to describe the feeling that you get when you get your first deck Of Black Tigers out of the box. Everything about these cards just screams out that you mean business.

The quality is matched only by other Ellusionist-produced decks of playing cards. They last SO much longer than regular Bicycle cards too. And they fan like butter, even after WEEKS of regular use!

I've taken these cards out on the street and they have taken my magic to a whole new level. People have NEVER seen cards like these before. There is that whole sense of mystery which adds so much to the effect you are performing and gets you the reactions that you see on the television specials.

Whilst I do prefer the Ghost decks for magic, I ALWAYS use the Black Tigers for flourishing. They just look so amazing when they are jumping and swirling around in a blur of black, white and red.

Black Tiger Decks: Except No Immitations 4 stars

The first time you open it and touch the deck you realize this isn't any normal deck of cards. The deck is smooth soft, it feels good, and just plain looks good.
The deck works perfectly with mentalism tricks and other spook tricks. The look of the deck makes the audience feel the power of your effect. The first time I performed with it, people just stare and look at the deck. I hand it out for inspection, they feel it, it feels good, it looks good, and there's nothing funny about it.
To get real reactions out of this deck I recommend buying a DVD with some card trick on it, because with a good effect and this deck, people will believe anything. For beginner magicians I recommend buying a DVD from ellusionist.
Overall this deck, while still looking amazing, relies on your performance with them, although it won't be hard with a deck like this.

Unbelievable, smooth, magical, and perfect are just some of the words that can be used to describe the Black Tiger Deck. This deck made by Ellusionist is one of the finest I have ever seen or touched. The fans are flawless and a thing of beauty. The decks are finished in UV and are black-light sensitive.

When I first started magic I used normal Bicycle decks, but decided to "upgrade". I went ahead and purchased two Black Tiger Decks. The first thing I noticed when I opened them was the sweet, red pips that appear to jump off the card. The cards being jet black with tigers on the back have a mysterious and freaky look to them. You can "feel" the high quality in each card. The first edition of these cards sold out in only four days. This deck will outlast your old Bicycles hands down.

Performance: After a couple of days with the cards I decided to bring them to school. In homeroom I did a color change trick which I usually always start out with in a routine. When my fellow classmate saw me change the four of clubs into a queen of hearts he "flipped out". I have to say that I performed this trick with some flaws but the cards sold the effect perfectly. He asked how I did it, and wanted to examine the cards, so I let him. He searched hopelessly through the cards for any once of evidence, but there was none. This was by far the best reaction I have received while performing that specific trick and that was only the first time I used my Black Tiger Deck.

Conclusion: This deck is by far the best one I have ever used. I seem to get better reactions because of its' mysterious look. Also there are many Black Tiger gimmick decks out there to expand your tricks. I enjoy performing with it because it feels so perfect and is a sight of beauty. For seven dollars this should not be passing you by. Most people have never seen a black deck before, and when performing I feel like I am getting the reactions David Blaine does just with simple yet hard-hitting tricks. I would rate these five out of five. If you don't have this deck already, there is nothing more to do now but GET IT. (MC101 Ellusionist name)
