This square shaped driver is just amazing. I have been having problems with my drive lately and have been reading up on square driver technology. I can't vouch for the technical side of things, but what I do know is after I bought this driver (39 bucks at a ShopKo store) My drive is making my friends angry! Based on the reviews here, I purchased this club and I was not disappointed one bit. This club hits like the big boys. A sound and easy investment, you won't be sorry. 5 stars The following review received 1 helpful votes out of 1 total votes: Review Date: 2007-08-16 "Amazing club for the price" I have been struggling with hitting my driver for a while now, gave up and started teeing with my 3 wood instead which is not ideal. I had seen the square technology drivers out on the course and thought it was sort of gimmicky but for forty dollars I thought I would take a chance. I haven't had time to shoot a round of golf with this club yet but I did go to the driving range the day after I got it and I saw a HUGE difference in both my consistency to get good contact and a straighter hit. I don't think it added much to my distance (avg around 250yrds) but it definitely made my drives more consistent. It seems to be a fairly high quality product, as mentioned in another review, the paint job is a little sketchy but not a big deal. I would definetely recommend this to someone who is slicing the ball or just not consistent with their drive and can't justify plopping down a few hundred or so for a Sasquath or similar product. 5 stars Review Date: 2007-06-22 "good driver for a great price" I bought the Intech Blockbuster on sale for 15% off bringing the total to $35 dollars and some change. This is a reasonably nice looking driver that even comes with the cover. The build quality feels and looks good. It does have a finish, that is a little on the mediocre side. Just not nice crisp paint lines or subjective finish quality. This is a nice club though. Technology wise this driver seems to be pretty good. I am sure it has a bunch of technology handed down from the bigger brands which you pay for the R&D. I am sure there is more technology but not for this price. Intech is a subsidiary of king par or orlimar, Orlimar Square fury $299.00 or a company that also makes a high end square driver. I am sure there is a lot of hand me down technology here. The driver hits nice. It has an odd dull thud to it but it hits reasonably far. It is a little shorter than my other drivers here. but the big plus is the more consistent hit here. Even when there is an off face hit it seems to correct. Straight line hit reliability with this club is quite good. For the price you cannot go wrong nice long drives and consistency for a bargain, how can you go wrong ??? 4 stars Review Date: 2007-08-18 "intech ripper (same exact club)" most awesome buy ever esp. for 40 bucks. | |
