"GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY."

I don't like to wear a helmet. If you are smart you will. The Bell Radar is light, comfortable, stylish and inexpensive. I don't plan on seeing how it will hold up under a crash, but based upon the design, it should. If I were riding in the mountains, or needed extra protection, I would upgrade to one of Bells more expensive products. This one will be fine for me. 5 stars

"saved my head"

I had a wreck 3 weeks ago and the helmet did its job. My head hit the pavement on a fall during a training ride. The foam cracked instead of my skull. Many thanks to Bell for making a reasonably priced and effective product. 5 stars

"cheap in price and in make"

While shopping for a helmet, I noticed that this helmet had decent reviews and the price was good. However, after a couple of weeks of use the cheap plastic that attaches the strap to the helmet broke off. Looking at it and the design, I can see why it broke off. Without this attachment, the helmet is useless. Tried taping it, but the design makes it difficult for it to stay on.

I had purchased another product from Bell (the headlight and taillight combo) that also had incredibly poor quality parts and design flaws. This product was so poorly made, when I tried to insert the battery, the thing literally crumbled. Five different parts broke off in a snap.

It seems the company has been doing a lot of cost cutting and it really does show in its products. 2 stars

"I have a big head..."

...and could never find a decent helmet. All the others pinched the side of my skull as if they expected me to have a peanut shaped noggin. Then, one day as I was admiring the gray hairs starting to sprout on my sides I realized my head was not spherical but that I had a natural bump on the right side. I'm no phrenologist (i.e., head bump reading fortune teller) but I could tell this helmet was in my future, snug, light, unobtrusive and stylish. Moral: knobby, big headed cyclist stop here. 5 stars
