This Helmet saved my life I went over the handlebars of my bike sent about 12 feet hit the ground headfirst I weigh about 230 so I would be dead had I not worn this helmet.I'm amazed at the quality of this product Highly Reccomend!! 5 stars The following review received 14 helpful votes out of 18 total votes: Review Date: 2006-02-10 "GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY." I don't like to wear a helmet. If you are smart you will. The Bell Radar is light, comfortable, stylish and inexpensive. I don't plan on seeing how it will hold up under a crash, but based upon the design, it should. If I were riding in the mountains, or needed extra protection, I would upgrade to one of Bells more expensive products. This one will be fine for me. 5 stars The following review received 10 helpful votes out of 11 total votes: Review Date: 2007-03-11 "saved my head" I had a wreck 3 weeks ago and the helmet did its job. My head hit the pavement on a fall during a training ride. The foam cracked instead of my skull. Many thanks to Bell for making a reasonably priced and effective product. 5 stars The following review received 10 helpful votes out of 10 total votes: Review Date: 2007-06-05 "cheap in price and in make" While shopping for a helmet, I noticed that this helmet had decent reviews and the price was good. However, after a couple of weeks of use the cheap plastic that attaches the strap to the helmet broke off. Looking at it and the design, I can see why it broke off. Without this attachment, the helmet is useless. Tried taping it, but the design makes it difficult for it to stay on. All the others pinched the side of my skull as if they expected me to have a peanut shaped noggin. Then, one day as I was admiring the gray hairs starting to sprout on my sides I realized my head was not spherical but that I had a natural bump on the right side. I'm no phrenologist (i.e., head bump reading fortune teller) but I could tell this helmet was in my future, snug, light, unobtrusive and stylish. Moral: knobby, big headed cyclist stop here. 5 stars | |
