Did not get in-out penetration. Tips rounded, not pointed. Higher velocity, but I seriously doubt anywhere near 25% they claim. Don't know if they're worth the extra cost for short range (about 50 feet or less). Better than Gamo magnum, but not much at the range I'm shooting. 4 stars The following review received 2 helpful votes out of 3 total votes: Review Date: 2007-06-07 "Very high velocity" I have paid thousands of dollars for the damage the squirrels have done to our house. So I purchased an air rifle with the PBA .177 Gamo pellets, and at present have 16 squirrels and everyone was a through and through shot. I could hardly believe it because I was judging by my childhood air rifle which did good to make it through one side of a coke can. 5 stars The following review received 1 helpful votes out of 3 total votes: Review Date: 2007-07-18 "Rounded not pointed" These pellets are not pointed like the photo but rounded instead. They bounce right off of everything! 1 star Review Date: 2008-01-24 "Not bad for the speed and penetration" This PBA is excelent IF your using them for hunting. If your using to practice shooting (or match) I would recomend using a cheaper heaver (lead) pellet. I seem to get about .50" difference in accuracy between the "PBA" and the Gamo "Rocket" pellets. Review Date: 2008-05-23 "i dont know what your talking about" first off...the raptor pellet is only the round. your rifle decideds weather the round will go through something. i got a set of theese with my gamo whisper. i had to start looking what was on the other side of the squirrle becasue i cracked a window. if your rifle is 1200fps, this is a good ammo for it 5 stars | |
