" I purchased this for my 8 year old. This has been a joy of his for quite a few months. It runs well, peppy and the battery seems to hold up for a very long riding period. He has had times in excess of 1 hr. riding around the house and driveway. He got to use it a handful of times and then he got too close to the curb and the on/off switch broke off. It is in a bad location on the underbelly of the scooter. I tried to replace it and it melted out the wires to the starter. Customer service was great at Razor, and sent me several parts to repair it, but after finally receiveing them and finding a shop that would repair it, we found out that they sent the wrong parts. Since then I haven't been able to even stay on hold long enough to talk to anyone at the company again. In the mean time I got another one on E-bay that said it was barely used and once I received it, it never charged! My son loved it while it worked and keeps asking me for another one, but I am hesitant to spend the money for the third time just to have him be disappointed again. 1 star The following review received 26 helpful votes out of 30 total votes: Review Date: 2007-05-10 "Great fun for kids." Our son has used his E100 for almost a year now, got it for his 7th birthday. He rides it a while almost every day on the street in front of our home, no long treks. It's been reliable and performs as advertised. I would guess that our son goes about as fast as someone running fast (running, not jogging), sometimes faster going downhill. The brake is a bit weak but not bad. At age 7, our son has behaved safely with it, stops and waits off the road if a car comes and no crazy stunts, so I would say it is suitable for his age, but obviously every kid has different maturity levels so parents have to judge on their own. Lots of fun, impresses his friends, and reliable. 5 stars The following review received 22 helpful votes out of 24 total votes: Review Date: 2006-05-22 "Holding up well - nephew loved it!
