"Not Worth the Money.....Kent Super Scooter is Much Nicer"

I bought the Kent Super Scooter and this one at the same time for different age kids. I couldn't tell which was larger from the web site, so one of each made since. The Schwinn is for only small children about 4-6, while the Kent can be adjusted to my 9 year old max, (still to short for my 11year old). All in all the Kent looks tougher, has bigger wheels, and can be used by both the 4 and 9 year olds, while costing less. Even if the Kent was more expensive I would buy another, and not waste a dollar on the Schwinn. Wish I could return it for a second Kent, but the shipping it to high, so I just as soon as keep it now. 1 star

"Good Old-Fashioned Fun"

This little scooter requires no batteries or power source except two little legs and "want-to". It rides smoothly and has provided many hours of fun for our children. GREAT BUY !! Sturdy construction. Good OLD FASHIONED FUN in a world where batteries and electric are usually king. 5 stars

"Roadster was a big Hit for my child"

Very satisfied with the scooter. My child is the star on our street for having this one of a kind scooter. It came 90% assembled. 4 stars

"Fun for big and little kids"

I'm a big kid (not afraid to admit it) who has little kids. I like to ride a scooter as much as my daughter. She was ready to upgrade from a 3 wheel Dora scooter (which actually could hold me) so I went on the hunt. I was originally going to get one of the Razor-type scooters but was disappointed in the fact that I am too heavy for their tiny wheels. I found this one for about the same price (at the time) and it looked like it could hold me so I ordered.

We've been pleased with it so far. It was easy to assemble (the tires needed air and the brake needed to be tightened). The manual says it can hold 200 pounds so I can ride it. My daughter was excited when she saw it and she gets compliments on it from other kids and parents alike. She was a little short for it but has adapted and is a good little rider. The only negative so far and the reason I took away a star is that the kick stand has irreparably fallen off, but that isn't a deal breaker.

Pros:
Easy to assemble
Looks great
Holds 200 pounds

Cons:
No height adjustment for handlebars
Kick stand kicked the bucket 4 stars

"Dissapointment"

The scooter looks great on picture. Schwinn ventured into forgoten (in the USA) art of making push scooters with Roadster. The frame, board and stand are nice, but wheels handlebars and brake are poorly designed and crudely finished. Wheels have no ball bearings and are crooked. Handlebars are secured with two plastic bushings and the height is not adjustable. Brake is so badly made that it is useless for children as it is very hard to squeeze even for adult. One can get a Razor type scooter with ball bearings on both wheels and the steer for half the price of Roadster. On the other hand large inflated wheels make for much smoother (better for the knees) and safer (no falling over pebbles) ride.
There are European push scooters that combine quality of Razor with the size of Roadster. They cost twice what Roadster does, but are worth it.
It is also very hard to replace 10'' tubing if needed. Local bicyle shops could not even special order them, but they can be mail ordered through Pacific Cycle. 2 stars
